This video is a perfect demonstration of just how badly elderly people need to be introduced to video games. Like it should be a thing in facilities and assisted living, it’s like a no brainer, and could enrich these people’s live SO MUCH!!!

Chapter 11 bankruptcy can generally be used to discharge even debts faced as a result of lawsuits — unless the judgments are found by a court to be the result of “willful and malicious” action by the defendant. Texas bankruptcy judge Christopher Lopez ruled on Oct. 19 that one of the judgments against Jones, accounting for about $1.1 billion of the total he faces, meets that criteria.

Delicious. Fucking erase him.

“It is glaring hypocrisy when you have Republicans on the other side of the aisle trying to create definitions and saying ‘Rashida wants to annihilate people’ when Max Miller himself went on TV and said 'we’re turning Gaza into a parking lot and we want to annihilate Palestinians.’ Nobody condemned him on that side of the aisle. What is true here is that every single one of them [Republicans] has not acknowledged the fact that Palestinians are dying in their tens of thousands but will continue to say it is us who are not acknowledging humanity. Rashida will stand strong and the Palestinian movement will continue for liberation until every single Palestinian has the right to live in liberty.”

Currently I’m working on asking myself how I can make any situation I’m in more cozy and enjoyable. That means making a hot drink and cleaning my glasses before I sit down to read. Putting on my favorite music while I scroll tumblr or draw. Checking the weather and putting on proper clothing before going on a walk. Preparing something nice to snack on before sitting down to watch TV. Listening to an audio book while doing the dishes. Because often it only takes a couple minutes to do something extra that makes a positive difference!

i must not get takeout. takeout is the wallet-killer. takeout is the little-death that brings total obliteration. i will face the kitchen, fridge, and pantry. i will make choices about what to cook and then execute them. when hunger is gone there will be nothing. only i will remain.

coffee shop by my house hired a new barista who is extraordinarily hot and flirts with me incessantly but she also makes the worst - and i truly mean the worst - coffee i’ve ever paid for. atrociously bad. just another of god’s little jokes

just remembered the barista who worked there last year and treated me with an attitude generally reserved for children and the incompetent to the point where she would frequently adjust my drink order in front of me and every single time it was BANGIN’

I know I don’t shut up about this but frankly not enough people are angry about the 5-day/40 hour workweek (and I am AWARE a lot of people work even more than that). I feel like a lot more people should be absolutely furious that we only really have two days a week and some occasional hours in the evening to socialise, run errands, do chores, or relax.

It’s no wonder so many people are profoundly lonely and disconnected from their communities when maintaining a social life in what little free time we have is incredibly difficult. If you have kids, a second job, a very long commute, or other responsibilities, it’s nearly impossible.

We literally aren’t meant to live like this and I’ll never stop being shocked how many people just take it as the natural state of things and don’t want to throw a brick through a billionaire’s window every time they think of it.
